Mitanshu Shah is working as Senior Vice President – Finance with Alembic Pharmaceuticals Limited since last 14 years. He is heading finance and accounts, strategy, management reporting, business finance and investors’ relations at Alembic. He is also responsible for M&A and treasury function for Alembic group.

Between 1998 – 2006 he worked as Head of finance and operations at LK India Pvt Ltd (groupe – Schneider Electric, France) where he was key member of global in-sourcing and member of management committee. Sun Pharma and Aventis Pharma were two initial stints in his stellar career.

He possesses 25 years of rich corporate experience in variety of subjects encompassing field of finance and management.

Mitanshu Shah has completed his master of commerce from M. S. University of Baroda and is also a fellow member of Institute of Cost Accountants of India and Management degree.

He is regular faculty at Institute of Chartered Accounts of India, Institute of Cost and Works Accounts of India and key speaker at various public forums including Euro money, Euro Finance and reputed Electronic media.

He is also associated with various social causes and is chief trustee of a formidable social welfare organization – Rural Development Society, Vadodara.

Yugal has been Global Head-Marketing (Commercial Functions) and Head (CEO), India Region at Ranbaxy where he led P&L of 26 Businesses, developed/managed diverse portfolios,~6500 employees across countries successfully. Earlier, as India-Head, Pharma (Gen-Med) at Novartis, India-Head, Pharma at Pfizer and Marketing-Head at GSK, his long career spans across all business verticals/functions from R&D-to-Commercialization.

Yugal was invited to join the Board of RPG Life Sciences, part of >$3B RPG Group, as an Independent Director and later requested to take on an operating role as Managing Director and embark on its 180-degree business-turnaround.

Yugal has been closely involved with Industry-affairs: served as Vice-Chair of OPPI Marketing-Committee, contributing to creating Industry’s Code, Awards and Initiatives; invited by McKinsey to be in the Steering-Committee of its widely-referred publication/report, “India Pharma:2020”; invited by NitiAayog-DMAI to “Government-Industry-Dialogue” and invited to chair/speak at several Pharma/cross-industry platforms like CPHI, CII, IPC, IDMA, Bio-Pharma, CNBC CEO-Panel, McKinsey CEO-Forum, Pharma Leaders-Roundtable, CIO-Summits.
